The Bachelor
Artistic Direction
Art direction is a key pillar of contemporary creation. It plays a central role when brands, media, and projects aim to stand out, tell a story, and build a lasting emotional connection with their audiences. The ability to imagine strong, unique, and memorable concepts is more expected today than ever. Yet becoming an art director is a long journey of learning and experimentation, in constant dialogue with the culture and trends of the time.
At CREA, the Bachelor in Art Direction — the school’s historic and founding program — first and foremost opens a path by providing solid training in the fundamentals of the profession: idea generation and the creation of consistent creative universes. Students learn to master a full ecosystem of tools, now largely enhanced by artificial intelligence, while developing the agility needed to adapt to constantly evolving technologies. Beyond tools, however, the real goal lies elsewhere: to train creative minds who think differently, express a strong point of view, and turn their personality into a true professional advantage.
CREA OMNES Education’s proven teaching approach combines theory and practice through classes, workshops, projects, and e-learning modules. Internships in agencies or with advertisers strengthen your experience, while industry experts help you build your future network. A distinctive feature of the program is the guidance provided in building a portfolio — a true creative calling card — designed as a powerful tool to express your uniqueness, enter the market, and lay strong foundations for a career in art direction.

Entrance exam
After receiving the admission contract and all the documents requested by CREA management, the candidate receives instructions for the entrance test. This test is to be taken on an adapted platform and consists of 4 parts.
1. Making a “self-portrait” video about yourself, to help us understand who you are.
Objective: Discover your universe, what motivates and drives you. At this level, technique is of little importance. It may give us an idea of your audiovisual knowledge, but it’s not part of the evaluation criteria.
2. Completion of a project based on a brief given by CREA
Objective: To assess your creativity and your ability to tackle a new problem.
3. Presentation of a personal portfolio of various personal creations
Objective: To discover your creative potential and current knowledge (graphic design, photography, illustration, knowledge of graphics software, etc.).
4. Oral interview with 2 experts (members of the management team)
Objective: get to know you; understand your motivation and expectations
If the student fails this online entrance exam, an interview with a special decision-making committee will be scheduled. The candidate’s enrolment at CREA becomes definitive after the full admission session, including the online entrance exam.
