Clauses de désistement

The student may withdraw from the admission contract in accordance with the provisions of this contract, in particular Section VII. A student who withdraws from the programme is considered to have withdrawn (with effect from the date on which the withdrawal is validated).

Withdrawal (and/or any similar situation) does not affect the student’s financial obligations to CREA. However, depending on the date of withdrawal, the student will be liable for the sums specified in this Section VII (Fees and charges reserved and additional in all cases).

In all cases of withdrawal, the cost of the study trip (if the student is registered) is payable in addition to the amounts applicable under this section VII.

The provisions relating to other cases of termination (e.g. late payment, failure, expulsion) are reserved.

The provisions concerning other cases of termination of the contract (e.g. late payment, failure, expulsion) are reserved.

Year 1 (2024/2025)

In the event of withdrawal before 31.03.24: no amount is due to CREA (subject to fees and incidental expenses which remain due and accrued to CREA).

In the event of withdrawal during the period from 01.04.24 to 30.06.24: the amount of CHF 2’640.- is due to CREA (less amounts due and paid).

In the event of withdrawal during the period from 01.07.24 to 06.10.24: the amount of CHF 5’280.- is due to CREA (after deduction of amounts due and paid).

In the event of withdrawal during the period from 07.10.24 (first day of school) to 31.03.25: the sum of CHF 9’240.- is due to CREA (less amounts due and paid).
This clause also applies if the student does not appear on the first day of school.

In the event of withdrawal during the period from 01.04.25 to 30.06.25: the sum of CHF 13,200 is payable to CREA (less amounts due and paid).

Year 2 (2025/2026)

In case of resignation after 01/07/25: CHF 24,900 to be paid to CREA (without discount, less amounts due and paid).

Important : Tout désistement, selon ce qui précède, doit être formellement portée à la connaissance de CREA par lettre recommandée. La date de réception fait foi. L’information par courriel n’est pas admise ni valable.

Retard de paiement

In the event of late payment of any of the sums due under the admission contract and the related documents, the student is automatically in default, without any notification from CREA being required. Depending on the situation, CREA may send one or more reminders without calling into question the due date of the amounts and/or the default. In addition, if applicable, after the third reminder (by registered mail), the entire balance of the tuition fee (for the current year, with previous instalments still due and purchased by CREA), including, if applicable, the study trip, will automatically be due immediately.

Non-payment of any of the current tuition fees (including the study trip, if applicable) may result in (i) temporary suspension of the course and/or (ii) termination of the admission contract by CREA. However, all sums owed by the student in respect of the entire course fee (including, where applicable, the study trip) shall remain payable.

In particular, in the event of a significant delay in payment, CREA may demand that the tuition fees (including, where applicable, the study trip) be paid in full before (i) the start of the academic year, including the transfer from one year to the next, and/or (ii) the submission of the Master’s thesis.

Specifically with regard to the Master’s thesis, if the student is not up to date with the payment deadlines, CREA requests that the situation be regularised and the student does not comply, the Master’s thesis will be postponed to the following year (only one postponement is possible). During this period, while awaiting the presentation of the Master’s thesis postponed in accordance with the above, the student will not receive any teaching. The presentation of the Master’s thesis already postponed to the following year cannot be postponed again. It would be a definitive case of failure in the Master’s programme if the presentation of the Master’s thesis (already postponed) could not take place in the following year due to late payment.

In all cases, the award of the Master’s degree (or diploma, if applicable) is subject to full payment of the tuition fees (including the study trip, if applicable).

In the event of default by the student, CREA reserves the right to recover any sums due by legal means without prior notice. Any costs incurred will be charged to the student.

Situation en cas d'échec

If a student fails the Master’s programme (with or without repeating a year), there will be no refund or reduction of the tuition fees (including the study trip, if applicable). These tuition fees are due in full by the end of the academic year in which the failure is declared by CREA.

If the student informs CREA that he/she wishes to withdraw from the current Master’s programme, the provisions of Section VII will apply.

Clause de situation extraordinaire

If, through no fault of his/her own, the student finds him/herself in a situation which is so serious that it is impossible to continue the course (in other words, an extraordinary situation), the student must contact CREA immediately to (i) provide a detailed explanation of the reasons and circumstances in writing or in any other form acceptable to CREA and (ii) provide his/her own estimate of the foreseeable duration of the extraordinary situation.

CREA will consider the exceptional situation and will use its best endeavours to propose to the student any accommodation that may be acceptable in the circumstances.

Exclusion définitive durant la formation

CREA may sanction any breach by the student of the obligations imposed by this contract and/or by the regulations applicable during the course, in particular the student’s administrative regulations (e.g. disciplinary reasons, lack of work, attendance, etc.), by taking appropriate measures up to and including permanent exclusion from the course following a disciplinary board. In such a case, the expelled student will remain fully liable for all sums due under the enrolment contract (full tuition, fees and ancillary costs, including, where applicable, the cost of the study trip), applying the provisions of Section VII by analogy, based on the date of expulsion.

En cas d'échec à l’obtention du bachelor, brevet fédéral ou d'une équivalence

Candidates whose application is approved by CREA after the assessment interview and who are in their final year at a university, a university of applied sciences or an equivalent institution (as determined by CREA) may be admitted on condition that they have obtained the relevant bachelor’s degree, federal diploma or equivalent.

In the event of failure to obtain the diploma in question, the candidate/student must inform CREA of the situation without delay, and at the latest within the time limit and in the form prescribed by CREA for this purpose (by means of any relevant communication). In such circumstances, the candidate/student has the option of postponing his/her enrolment at CREA for the following year without having to repeat the assessment interview. To do this, the candidate/student must:

  • Submit a copy of their final report card confirming their failure.
  • Complete a new admission contract for the following session (session 2025-2027),
    if available (from November 2025).
  • Pay the amount of CHF 4’400.00 by 09.2024 (plus the cost of the study trip, if applicable). This amount will be credited against future tuition fees (and the cost of the study trip, if applicable).
  • The provisions of the new admission contract for the following session will take precedence, but it is expressly agreed that the above amount (subject to adjustment by CREA) will in any case be forfeited to CREA. The provisions relating to the cost of the study trip are reserved.

If the candidate/student does not wish to join CREA for the Master’s programme and prefers to continue his/her studies for the relevant diploma, he/she will be refunded all tuition fees already paid to CREA (including the study trip, if applicable), with the exception of the registration fee of CHF 300, which will be retained by CREA. To this end, the candidate/student must provide CREA with a copy of (i) his/her final diploma confirming his/her failure and (ii) any document proving that he/she is continuing with the course in question.

Report du contrat d'admission

If the candidate/student wishes to defer the admission contract, he/she can ask CREA to defer his/her registration for the following year. To do so, the applicant/student must submit a request for deferral by 30 June 2024 at the latest (i.e. only before the first year), as follows

  • Send a registered letter to CREA requesting a deferral of admission.
  • Fill in a new admission contract for the following session (session 2025-2027), if available (from November 2024).
  • Pay the amount of CHF 4’400.- by 30.09.2024 (plus the cost of the study trip, if applicable).

As part of their training, students are required to complete a period of work experience in a company, which enables them to consolidate the knowledge and skills they have acquired in a professional context.

The search for an internship is the responsibility of the student with the support of the Career Centre.

Executive Masters students must have at least 5 months of work experience in the form of an internship – at 80% or 90% – during their studies. The maximum duration of an internship with the same company is 12 months. Students who have successfully completed an internship cannot receive a second internship contract during their studies.

This work experience is a condition sine qua non for obtaining the diploma and validating the ECTS associated with the internship.

For students already in employment who are unable to complete a work placement, an ad hoc validation process (e.g. interview, questionnaire, etc.) will be set up to validate that the expected skills have been acquired. Work placements must be directly related to the Masters programme.

In case of repetition, failure or non-submission of the Master’s thesis, no new placement agreement will be issued if the placement period has already been validated during the course.

The student agrees to the full disclosure of his/her application file to the School’s partner companies.

The Master Admission Regulations will be given to the candidate/student and are applicable.

The candidate/student’s enrolment becomes firm and definitive once the enrolment contract has been countersigned by CREA.

CREA reserves the right to cancel the Master’s programme in the event of an insufficient number of participants.

The candidate/student undertakes to comply with CREA’s rules and regulations. These will be communicated at a later date.

The relationship between CREA and the candidate/student, and in particular that arising from this admission contract, is governed by Swiss law. In the event of a dispute, the ordinary courts of the Canton of Geneva shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to appeal to the Federal Supreme Court.
